What voicing and difficulty should I expect?

Most editions are SATB at an intermediate-to-advanced level, comfortable with syncopation and independent part-singing — ideal for experienced community, church and semi-professional choirs. SSA or SAB adaptations are available on request.

Is the piano accompaniment actually playable?

Yes, where an edition has one (Go Down, Moses, for example, is a cappella). These are real accompaniments written by a pianist for pianists — they support the choir and drive the groove without impossible stretches or copy-pasted orchestral doublings.

Is a performance license included?

With the purchase of the sheet music you receive the licence for performances by the purchasing choir. The public performance itself is reported by the organiser to the relevant performing-rights society as usual (ASCAP/BMI or PRS; GEMA in Germany, AKM in Austria, SUISA in Switzerland). For public-domain works the licence covers the arrangement; a report may still be required.
